Turning Pages Books & More

Turning Pages Books & More was established in 2001 by owner's Fred and Mary Emrick. Mary came into this bookstore venture with bookselling experience from a store she founded in 1991. Pat Butler with 15 years of bookstore experience and Becky Spears with 11 years in bookselling joined Mary to create a knowledgeable staff for Turning Pages. As we grew, more help was needed and Donna Harrison, a retired school librarian was added to our staff of four. Sugar, our store mascot joined us in October of 2005.

We are presently located at 520 Franklin Street in Natchez, Mississippi. Our location is an antebellum structure that was built in the 1830s and was first used as a mercantile shop before becoming Geisenberger's Drug Store. The store front was vacant for fifteen years before being totally renovated for Turning Pages Books & More. There are three levels to the building at 520 Franklin Street with the main level being used for the bookstore.

We are a full service independent bookstore with an eclectic assortment of books in the categories of fiction, biography, history, classical literature, Civil War, African-American, gardening, collectibles, southern authors, regional, religion, inspirational fiction, cookbooks, political, and children's books. We also carry a variety of greeting cards, journals, bookmarks, music CDs, children's plush toys and audio books.

We belong to the American Booksellers Association, Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance, the Natchez Chamber of Commerce and the Natchez Downtown Development Association.

We pride ourselves in customer service and are always willing to go the extra mile for our customers. We offer complimentary gift wrap, take all major credit cards, keep a pot of hot coffee available and we specialize in book-searches. Turning Pages gift certificates make a great choice at any time for all occasions. Just give us a call.
